I bought two Halex badminton rackets last year. They are light and stiff but the strings lacked higher tension; this gives you somewhat more control, but power shot speed suffers. So I decided to buy something better. I have known the Yonex brand for decades and am aware of its quality and specialty in badminton rackets. The Muscle Power 7 is under $40; it has a high quality feel. After using it for 2 weeks, I deem it a pretty decent racket; the strings are tight and should give me years of good service.

Nice Racket for a low range racket.
The muscle string technology keeps the strings in tip top condition.
The flex is stiff so is better for average amateur players
